“Heels down, toes forwards”
I'm sure you have heard this so many times. There is an ideal position and movement that we strive towards for the foot and ankle. This allows absorption of the forces created by the horse as we ride, which then enables us to give and remove leg aids. Then our horses receive clear messages which reduces stress and frustration.

Join me for an unmounted workshop to learn how your feet help achieve a deeper seat so you can  ...
* feel more
* understand what movement you are looking for
* move better so you are an easier load to carry
The workshop lasts approx 2 hours and costs £18. Arrive in good time to get a welcome cuppa and introduce yourself so we can begin promptly. The next workshop is being held at Sadberge Village Hall, near Darlington on Sunday 18th May from 1 pm until 3 pm.

This session is perfect for you ....
* if you have been stood on by your horse
* are on your feet all day
* have sprained / fractured your ankle
* have injured your knees, hips or pelvis
* been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis
* feel unequal weight into your stirrups
* notice one toe turns out more than the other
* notice that one heel is lower than the other

During the session you will explore lots of exercises using equipment that can be found at home. Some of which can easily be done at the stables or in the lorry or trailer before riding and others done at home to improve movement and strength. None of the exercises will take you too much time making them great additions to your riding journeys.

You will leave the session with a worksheet listing all the exercises we explored and access to mini videos as a reminder for self practice at home.

All equipment will be provided and if you haven't any already, there will be an option to buy your own 'prickly balls' at the end.

Numbers on the workshops are limited to allow you time to explore the movement and to ask questions.

If you'd like to ask me further questions please drop me an email to claire@bluehousepilates.co.uk or text my mobile number 07500041512

This is Claire on her pony 'Sheltie'

Notice how unequal her feet are in the stirrups and this is well before any of her accidents!
